Insulated Enclosures – Industrial
This NVQ is ideal for anyone working in construction and the built environment sector, particular those who are involved in installation or repair of insulated floors, walls, and ceilings in an industrial setting, who needs certification of their current skills. It’s designed to recognise the work you already do or are in training to do.
Who should complete this course?
This NVQ is ideal for anybody working within the construction industry and is looking to develop a specialist skill set in insulated enclosured in an industrial environment, whether they are new to the trade or already have on-site experience.
There are no formal entry requirements, however as this is an NVQ, candidates will need to demonstrate their skills in real-life scenarios. This means that those signing up on this course must be working in a role where they can collect real workplace evidence.
What does this course cover?
During this NVQ, you will complete the following units:
✓ Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
✓ Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
✓ Moving, handling, and storing resources in the workplace
✓ Installing insulated enclosure floors in the workplace
✓ Installing insulated cladding walls in the workplace
✓ Installing and repairing ceilings in insulated enclosures in the workplace
How is this NVQ assessed?
You will be assessed in a variety of ways so you can show your skills and knowledge:
✓ Workplace Evidence – Photos, videos, and explanations of tasks you do during your day-to-day job
✓ Written or verbal questions – to show what you know
✓ A Workplace Observation – your assessor or qualified witness watches you carry out a planned task
✓ A Witness Testimony – a statement from your supervisor or manager confirming your skills.
Once you’re registered, we’ll send you a work pack, and your assessor will contact you to book your induction. During this meeting, they’ll explain how to gather evidence, go through the workbook with you, and get to your know strengths and any areas where you many need extra support.
You will have direct contact with your assessor throughout your NVQ by email and Teams. You will also be able to send photos, videos and voice notes to your assessor through WhatsApp. We don’t use online platforms or a team of admin staff, we prefer a much more personal, one-to-one approach.
