Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet it is often overlooked in the workplace. Having responsible mental health first aiders supports early mental health interventions, creating a culture of care and inclusion within the business, boosting morale and reducing absenteeism.

The ProQual Level 2 Award in Mental Health First Aid Awareness is designed to provide learners with the fundamental knowledge to recognise mental health conditions and understand the role and responsibilities of Mental Health First Aiders in the workplace.

This is a blended learning course, with candidates working through the supplied SHE Knows workbook at their own pace with assessor support – no need to take time off work to attend classroom lessons or take exams.

SHE Knows delivery methods for this qualification – we are different, not just your average training provider.

At SHE Knows, we aim to concentrate on using work-based evidence and not just assignments or written Q&A. While going through the workbook, you will be asked to provide certain bits of evidence taken from your day-to-day job to demonstrate your competence and knowledge. You will also undertake a professional discussion with your assessor and complete some written questions and answers to back up your understanding.

The Assessors at SHE Knows are human assessors, not a computer platform or team of admin staff. We are all here to support you and chase and encourage you until you complete.

Time scales for completion do vary, we just have to make sure you are not submitting out of date evidence due to any changes in legislation, best practice or old documents that have since been reviewed.

You can start at any time; once registration has been completed a work pack will be issued. On your initial contact/induction with your assessor they will explain evidence gathering and how to understand our workbook and filing systems.

Our cost for the Level 2 Award is all inclusive, covering, registration, assessment, and certification, so  you concentrate on your studies without worrying about any hidden costs to you or your employer.
