NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice

The Level 6 Diplomas are on par with the NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 and Candidates studying for one of these qualifications should ideally already hold a Level 3 Health and Safety Qualification (such as the NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 or 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice). Those who complete this qualification will be able to apply to become a Certified Member with IOSH (Previously Grad.IOSH). You can use your  level 3 or 5 qualification as a stepping stone to work on our Level 6 at a reduced price and SHE Knows will not require you to duplicate work, so reducing the amount of evidence you need to submit in your Level 6. We call this using RPL.

“Ok, this is where it can get a little confusing. SHE Knows is proud to have 2 Awarding Organisation accreditations for the level 6. This means you choose the standards that are appropriate for your job.”  Linda

  1. Do you prefer the practical site work – getting involved with inspections, creating RAMS, perhaps involved with updating CSM Construction Phase Plans? Then the ProQual level 6 is the one for you.
  2. Or are you an auditor and emergency planner by heart? Getting involved with organising H&S budgets and staff competence requirements, gaining ISO accreditations though ensuring your management system passes an audit with flying colours? If so, you should consider the City & Guilds level 6.

Hopefully this FAQ table will help a little.
