National Vocational Qualifications
These qualifications focus on the practical side of doing a task and doing it competently – by gaining the right knowledge, skills and experience.
Our friendly team of assessors are there for the learner from start to finish, and are happy to give candidates a helpful nudge to keep the ball rolling to get their qualification done.
All of our assessors are highly experienced in the field of H&S and have been in the candidates’ shoes themselves so know what they are going through! They are available via email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn etc. to provide help and advice along the way.
Our experienced and qualified IQAs undertake regular reviews of the work being assessed to assure quality and compliance with the standards of the awarding organisation – this means candidates know they are being treated fairly and equally.
Health & Safety NVQs
NVQs are the ideal path for many employees as they allow the candidate to complete their portfolio of work-based evidence alongside their day-to-day job, this means no exams! Competence-based qualifications meant that candidates demonstrate their capabilities in line with the NVQ criteria as part of a portfolio which we help you build – we do not use a cloud-based platform or expect you to work out what needs to be filed under what section. We help you do that!
The Health and Safety qualifications level 3 to 6 are a combination of knowledge, skills and experience, as they require work experienced skill developed evidence (such as copies of risk assessments undertaken) as well as professional discussions, written accounts and copies of work emails demonstrating your knowledge of the workplace requirements and how they are related to Regulations, whereas the level 7 is a more knowledge based course encouraging you study to develop your skills.
Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment (Blended learning)
✓ Allows completers to apply for the Labourer’s (Green) CSCS card.

✓ For those who are starting their careers or hold a supporting H&S role
✓ Allows achievers to join IOSH as TechIOSH (with 1 year’s experience)

Mental Health First Aid

ELCAS Funding
SHE Knows are an approved Learning Provider with ELCAS, allowing those who have served, or are currently serving, in the MOD to use their Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) as financial support towards our NVQs that are at a level 3 or above. Candidates must be a registered Scheme Member and have accrued sufficient services before submitting a claim.
