Virtual/Remote Training Information

To attend the course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam.
Connection quality is the responsibility of the delegate. If you have any issues connecting to zoom or other specified virtual meeting platform please visit their System Requirements.
You will be required to login before the course start time. Late arrivals may not be able to attend.
You will be asked to present your photographic ID over webcam on the course.
We will explain, during the course, the arrangements for your end of course examination or test.

Who Should Attend

Any person(s) who as part of their working duties are required to use and inspect safety harnesses. This training course provides the core knowledge required by any user, supervisor or manager of personnel using safety harnesses, lanyards, anchor points and their associated products. The course covers the current legal obligations regarding the use of fall protection equipment, causes and resultant effects of a fall, standards and how they affect the equipment selection, storage, care, maintenance and rescue implications associated with some uses of safety harnesses.

Legal responsibilities under the Work at Height Regulations and Health and Safety at Work Act. We will also refer to the LOLER Regulation’s
Selection of the correct work equipment and restraint systems to help prevent falls from height thus reducing risk to themselves and others
Pre-use inspections of equipment to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose
Confidently select and don a harness correctly.
